There's an old saying - "A little of what you fancy does you good". That is so true of the sun! It is a source of Vitamin D - the happy vitamin and it does make our skin look healthy if we just take it in small doses. The problem is many of us don't see that much sun throughout the year so we overdo it when it does come along and pay the price. Of course no one really knows what all that fake tan is doing to us either but it is preferable to all the burnt skin from too much sun exposure! Below are a couple of recommendations to enjoy the sunshine days.
No matter what time of year a healthy glow to the skin always makes us look good! Pale and interesting may work for you but if your skin looks more dull and lifeless than you would like, try a moisturizer with a touch of self tan. It doesn't come out like a normal fake tan and can just make the skin look good. There are plenty on the market and most come in face and body tubes. If you like your skin care range then look for a moisture plus self tan in that line before trying another. Odds are that it will be more compatible with your skin than another range. This especially applies if you have sensitive skin as actually sunbathing is probably not an option! Generally the body product will be slightly thicker and may give a slightly more robust tan. If the one you choose has skin type or shade selection always go for the right one - it affects the colour! You don't want to look orange!
We all know by now that if you want to stay in the sun for any length of time whether it is actually sunbathing, playing sports or just going around a theme park, we need to protect our skin. One of the best sunscreen products we have found is Banana Boat! They have a wide range of SPF creams both for children and adults and what we like best is that they are not greasy. Nothing is worse if you are actually walking around than feeling the product on your skin. They also smell nice which is always a plus!
Sunblock tends to have a whiter heavier consistency than sun cream. Small children and those with delicate skin will probably find this more useful but most of us can do with suncream SPF15 or 18 and reapply at regular intervals during the day rather than using a block. Obviously it is all down to personal preference. Always check how long the cream will protect you if planning a day in the sun.
